The Garden Festival
By 2005 The Garden Zadar had already established itself as one of the best loved and most musically adventurous additions to Croatians nightlife and culture. So much so that the owners of the Pinija Hotel in the nearby village of Petrcane approached us about taking on an event space which had been dormant for some years.

The first wave of artists has been announced!
Since The Garden Festival came to life in 2006 at The Garden Petrcane, it has become one of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer - drawing an international audience of like minded souls in search of rediscovering their disco mojo.
Although some unseasonable weather tried to rain on our parade the first year, nothing could dampen the magical atmosphere and music – with an emphasis on eclectic quality instead of big name monotony.
And, once the touch paper had been lit, word has spread like wild fire drawing ever increasing attendances - rising from a few hundred in 2006, to 1500 in 2007 and then 3000 in 2008.
Go Week at the Knees
There are few festivals in the world where people can listen to exclusive live bands and DJs from all walks of dance music culture…while swimming in the glistening Adriatic, chilling beneath a canopy of pine trees or dancing until dawn on an outdoor stage shared with the stars.
In addition to our three landlubbing areas– The Main Stage, Beach Terrace & Tiki Bar, and Barbarella’s Discotheque – there’s also the special sea-faring attraction of our infamous Argonaughty Boat Parties. Our boat sets sail twice a day allowing guests to escape the crowd and live life on an ocean wave surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the smiling faces of friends old and new.
With this year being the first in our new home just oputside of Tisno. We've found a beautiful site alongside a stunning village that offers comfortable accommodation, delicious seafood restaurants, bars and friendly locals – all within walking distance from the party around the bay.
What's new?
After another successful year we’ve gone to our winter homes to plan and prepare for next year. We have a few artists on our wish list and you can be sure to see the regular faces perform and make our festival what it is.
This year we’ve moved to the beautiful island of Muter; an island that’s connected to the mainland by a 20m bridge. Just a stone’s throw away from the Kornati archipelago, our new home offers stunning views and unrivalled beauty. /This year we have on site accommodation ranging from camping plots to luxury camping to apartments . . .all just a stones throw from the action. It’s not all change though, the site still boasts a beach bar a main stage and all the other features of The Garden that we’ve grown to love.
One major change is Barberellas, our new after party is large enough to fit everyone. It also offers dancing under the stars until the sun comes up, heavenly.
With so many beautiful islands to explore and the tranquility of the surrounding villages, many people decide to stay for a full week so they can settle in before the festival and relax afterwards.
They’ll be some special Garden Festival events between now and then so we hope to see you along the way. More information will be posted on or events page here
